Materials:

This leash is constructed from durable ABS plastic (housing/handle) and nylon webbing (retractable cords), designed to resist pulling, chewing, and everyday wear. The handle has a soft-touch, non-slip coating for a comfortable grip.

Cleaning:

• Do not submerge the leash housing in water — the retractable mechanism, flashlight, and internal spring are not waterproof and can be damaged by water getting inside.
• Wipe down the handle, casing, and nylon cord with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed to remove dirt, mud, or grime.
• For the nylon webbing specifically, you can use a soft brush with a little soapy water to scrub off stubborn dirt, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
• Let the leash air dry fully before retracting the cord back into the housing, to prevent moisture buildup or mold/mildew inside the casing.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or solvents, which can degrade the nylon and plastic over time.

Maintenance tips:

• Periodically check the retraction mechanism to make sure it extends and retracts smoothly — grit or debris can sometimes get lodged inside.
• Remove batteries from the flashlight if you're not using it for an extended period, to prevent corrosion from battery leakage.

Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent the plastic from becoming brittle over time.
